365 Homemade Cranberry Sauce Recipe

Why 365? Because I could devour this stuff 365 days of the year, y’all!!

Klaire even joined in this year on the borderline cranberry sauce addiction around here. She wanted it on everything – just like mama.  Even better, I can feel good about her enjoying it because there in no processed sugar in it.  Only the real, whole food stuff in this cranberry sauce.

The aroma alone is amazing, but once you have one spoonful it’s over.  You’ll be making up another batch in no time, like us!!  Of course, adding in maple syrup all the way from Canada makes it even more special for us.  You can use whatever pure, whole sweetener you might have on hand.  I have made it with raw, local honey & also coconut sugar before.

Here’s how we make our 365 Homemade Cranberry Sauce:

1 bag cranberries
1 orange, segments plus zest
1/3 cup maple syrup (the real stuff), honey, or coconut sugar

1. Zest and peel orange. Cut into segments.

2. Combine all ingredients in saucepan.

3. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer.

4. Simmer until mixture is thickened, but cranberries are still visible.

5. Enjoy!!! Eat right out of the bowl or slather it all over everything on your plate.

This is a must have for all your holiday meals… or any day of the year! 🙂

You might be wondering why I didn’t post a finished product picture.  Let’s just say it wasn’t around long enough for that.  I’ll be making more & sharing a picture of our sweet, ruby red sauce soon.
